Privacy Policy

Short version: FileFree processes the files you select inside your browser. We do not upload or store their contents on a FileFree conversion server.

Files you process

FileFree uses browser features and open-source JavaScript libraries to perform conversions locally on your device. Your selected PDF, image, spreadsheet or extracted text is not transmitted to us. Closing or refreshing a tool page clears its working state from that page.

Website and hosting data

Like most websites, our hosting provider may receive routine request data when it serves a page, such as your IP address, browser type, requested URL, date and time, and basic diagnostic information. This data is used to deliver, secure and operate the website. It is separate from the contents of files you select for conversion.

Conversion libraries

The open-source conversion components used by FileFree are served from the same website as the tool pages. They run in your browser, and FileFree does not send your selected file to a third-party conversion service.

Advertising and cookies

FileFree may use Google AdSense after the site is approved. Google and its advertising partners may use cookies, web beacons, IP addresses or similar identifiers to serve, personalize and measure ads. Google’s use of advertising cookies may allow it and its partners to show ads based on visits to this and other websites.

You can manage personalized advertising in Google Ads Settings. You can learn more about how Google uses data on partner sites in Google’s partner-sites explanation. Where required, a consent message will be shown before advertising storage or personalization is used.

Analytics

FileFree does not currently run a separate analytics service. If analytics is introduced, this policy will be updated and any required consent controls will be provided.

Children’s privacy

FileFree is a general-purpose utility and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
